SANTIAGO, Sept 1 (Reuters) - The decision to cut Chile's key interest rate by 25 basis points at the central bank's monetary policy meeting on Aug. 14 was unanimous, though it also considered cutting by 50 basis points and holding the rate steady, minutes of the meeting showed on Monday.
The bank has gradually reduced the key rate by 150 basis points from 5 percent in October in a bid to boost Chile's slowing economy. (Reporting by Santiago newsroom Editing by W Simon)
