Codelco sees Ministro Hales equipment fully operational in 2-3 months
SANTIAGO, April 14 (Reuters) - World No.1 copper producer Codelco expects to have the roaster at its new Ministro Hales mine fully operational in two to three months, Nelson Pizarro, chief executive of the Chilean state-owned miner, said.
The roaster is used to remove arsenic from the ore at Ministro Hales, but has been plagued by start-up issues.
Codelco expects profits of over $10 billion between 2015 and 2019, added Pizarro, speaking on Tuesday at the CESCO/CRU world copper conference in Santiago.
