Chile's Codelco produces 437,000 tonnes of copper in first quarter
SANTIAGO May 27 (Reuters) - Codelco, the world's biggest copper producer, reported on Friday an 11 percent rise in production of the metal in the first quarter to 437,000 tonnes.
The Chilean state-run company also posted a pre-tax loss of $151 million in the January to March period, as prices for copper fell to multi-year lows. (Reporting by Fabian Cambero; Writing by Anthony Esposito; Editing by W Simon)
