Colombia's central bank decision was taken by majority
BOGOTA, June 22 (Reuters) - The decision by Colombia's central bank to raise the benchmark interest rate to 7.5 percent was taken by majority, bank chief Jose Dario Uribe said on Wednesday.
The decision to raise borrowing costs by 25 basis points met the forecast of a majority of analysts in a Reuters survey last week. Food costs and a peso depreciation have continued to put pressure on inflation, the bank board said in a statement.
