BRASILIA, Aug 5 (Reuters) - Brazil's state-run oil firm Petroleo Brasileiro SA has sold its 44.5 percent stake in the Transierra S.A. to Bolivia's state energy company YPFB for $106.7 million, Petrobras said on Tuesday in a securities filing.
Transierra was set up in Bolivia in 2000 to connect the San Alberto and San Antonio fields, which mainly produce natural gas, to the Bolvia-Brazil gas pipeline. Petrobras said the sale obeyed a new law passed in December regulating Bolivian state companies.
Petrobras said its operations in the two fields will not be affected. (Reporting by Anthony Boadle; Editing by Chris Reese)
