Brazil's industrial output drops 0.3 pct in June from May

RIO DE JANEIRO, Aug 4 (Reuters) - Industrial production in Brazil fell 0.3 percent in June from May, government statistics agency IBGE said on Tuesday.

The median estimate in a Reuters survey of 22 analysts forecast a 0.7 percent decline.

Production in June retreated 3.2 percent from a year earlier , less than the median forecast for a 5.0 percent decline. (Reporting by Rodrigo Viga Gaier; Writing by Silvio Cascione; Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
