Brazil's Senate committee confirms Goldfajn as central bank chief
BRASILIA, June 7 (Reuters) - The Brazilian Senate's economic affairs committee on Tuesday approved the nomination of Ilan Goldfajn as the new central bank chief.
The nomination of Goldfajn, the former chief economist of private sector bank Itau Unibanco, still needs to be ratified by the floor of the upper house. (Reporting by Alonso Soto, editing by G Crosse)
