RIO DE JANEIRO, April 23 (Reuters) - Brazil's Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais S.A. reported on Thursday a net loss of 235 million reais ($78.1 million) in the first quarter, as the steelmaker suffers in the face of falling domestic steel demand and a weaker iron ore price.
Usiminas, as the company is known, reported earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) of 354 million reais with net revenue of 2.7 billion reais. (Reporting by Stephen Eisenhammer Editing by W Simon)
