Petrobras pipeline spill near Angra, Brazil reaches ocean -union
RIO DE JANEIRO, June 19 (Reuters) - An oil spill that began on Friday morning from a pipeline connecting a coastal oil terminal and a refinery near Rio de Janeiro has leached from the surrounding coastal wetlands into the ocean, the union representing the refinery's workers said on Friday.
Petrobras confirmed the spill in a statement but did not give the spills scope or size. The spokesman for the union at the Duque de Caxias Refinery (REDUC) near Rio de Janeiro was unable to say how big the spill was.
