Brazil stocks soar 4.85 pct, most in 3 years, on election outlook

SAO PAULO Oct 13 (Reuters) - Brazilian stocks skyrocketed on Monday as investors grew more optimistic that challenger Aecio Neves would defeat President Dilma Rousseff in this month's election.

Brazil's Bovespa stock index climbed its most in more than three years, closing 4.85 pct higher at 57,996.36 points, according to preliminary figures. (Reporting by Asher Levine; Editing by David Gregorio)
