Embraer says KC-390 cargo jet adaptable to some civilian roles
SAO PAULO Oct 21 (Reuters) - Brazilian aircraft maker Embraer's new KC-390 cargo plane could be adapted to serve niche civilian markets including the oil and mining industries, Paulo Gastao, the program's director, said on Tuesday.
Embraer rolled out the KC-390 for the first time on Tuesday. The plane's first flight is scheduled for the end of the year and deliveries to the Brazilian Air Force are set to begin in late 2016.
