BUENOS AIRES, July 27 (Reuters) - Argentina's industry sector expanded for the first time in nearly two years in June, with industrial output growing 0.9 percent compared with the same month a year earlier, government data showed on Monday.
The rise was stronger than the median forecast for a 0.4 percent gain in a Reuters poll of five analysts, and broke a run of 22 consecutive monthly declines.
Industrial output gained 1.2 percent in June from the previous month in seasonally adjusted terms, the ministry said. (Reporting by Buenos Aires newsroom, writing by Sarah Marsh; editing by Richard Lough)
