Brazil utility Eletrobras cuts 2015 investment plan
SAO PAULO Aug 19 (Reuters) - Brazil's state-run electric utility, Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA, known as Eletrobras, will spend 75 percent to 80 percent of the 14.5 billion reais ($4.15 billion) it had originally planned to invest this year, Chief Financial Officer Armando Casado said on Wednesday.
Speaking at an investor event in Sao Paulo, Casado said the completion of ongoing investments remains a priority, though the company will not rule out bidding on concessions for older hydroelectric plants.
