BRASILIA, Sept 11 (Reuters) - Brazil's Supreme Court said on Friday it had received a request from federal prosecutors to question former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva in a political kickback scheme engulfing state-run oil company Petrobras.
Earlier Friday, newsmagazine Epoca said prosecutors had made the request, citing a motion filed with the Supreme Court to question the former president over possible advantages he, his political party or his government may have obtained because of graft at the company, whose official name is Petroleo Brasileiro SA.
