Brazil police launch new raid over Petrobras drillship contract
SAO PAULO Nov 24 (Reuters) - Brazilian federal police said on Tuesday they were making one arrest and carrying out 25 search and seizure orders in several states in the latest phase of a broad corruption probe, this time focused on fraud in a drillship contract with state-run oil firm Petrobras.
TV station Globo News said businessman José Carlos Bumlai, a friend of former President Luíz Inácio Lula da Silva, had been arrested. The police statement did not say who was being arrested or what other companies were involved in the contract. (Reporting by Caroline Stauffer; Editing by Angus MacSwan)
