SAO PAULO, March 1 (Reuters) - Brazil's state-run electricity holding Centrais Elétricas Brasileiras SA said on Tuesday it plans to invest 13.16 billion reais ($3.34 billion) in 2016, a smaller amount than the 14.5 billion reais projected for 2015.
Eletrobras, as the company is known, said in a filing to the market regulator in Brazil that it plans to spend 4.5 billion reais on power generation, 1.31 billion reais in transmission and 1.34 billion reais in power distribution. (Reporting by Marcelo Teixeira; Editing by Sandra Maler)
