Uruguay says consumer prices rise 0.25 pct in September

MONTEVIDEO Oct 5 (Reuters) - Consumer prices in Uruguay rose 0.25 percent in September and 12-month inflation totaled 8.9 percent, the National Statistics Institute said on Wednesday.

The reading was lower than a Reuters forecast for monthly inflation of 0.49 percent. The central bank's target range for full-year 2016 inflation is 3 percent to 7 percent. (Reporting by Malena Castaldi; Editing by Jeffrey Benkoe)
