Brazil 2014 economic growth and inflation views edge higher - poll

SAO PAULO, Nov 17 (Reuters) - Brazilian economists raised
their expectations slightly for the country's economic growth
and inflation rates for this year, according to a weekly central
bank poll released Monday.
    Brazil's economy should eke out 0.21 percent growth in 2014,
according to the median forecasts in a survey of about 100
financial institutions, up from a 0.20 percent estimate a week
earlier. Inflation should close the year at 6.40 percent, up
from a previous 6.39 percent estimate.
    Expectations for Brazil's exchange rate were raised to 2.53
reais per dollar for 2014 and 2.61 reais per dollar at the end
