Brazil 2017 inflation forecast falls for 6th week -poll
BRASILIA, May 16 (Reuters) - Economists cut their forecasts for Brazil's 2017 inflation rate for a sixth straight week, bringing it closer to the center of the official target, a central bank survey showed on Monday, raising the likelihood of interest rate cuts over the next year. The median expectation of about 100 economists in the central bank poll for next year's inflation rate fell to 5.50 percent from 5.62 percent in the prior week's survey. The official target is 4.5 percent, a goal last achieved in August 2010.
