BRASILIA, May 23 (Reuters) - Economists cut their forecasts
for Brazil's interest rate at end-2016 and end-2017 despite
stronger-than-expected inflation in mid-May, according to a
weekly central bank poll.
Brazil's 12-month inflation rate rose more than expected in
mid-May and edged closer to 10 percent again on higher food and
medicine prices, government data showed on Friday.
