BRASILIA, Oct 17 (Reuters) - Economists cut their forecasts for inflation and interest rates in Brazil this year, ahead of a central bank meeting on Wednesday which could cut rates, a weekly central bank survey showed on Monday. A Reuters poll last week showed most economists expect the bank's monetary policy committee to reduce its benchmark Selic rate, but they are split on the size of the move. The Selic rate is currently at 14.25 percent, a decade high.
