MILAN, Oct 2 (Reuters) - Italian oil services group Saipem said on Thursday it has won new engineering and construction contracts worth $750 million in the Gulf of Mexico, which includes developing a deepwater field for state-run energy company Pemex.
Saipem's engineering, procurement, construction and installation contract for Pemex' Lakach field will involve building two pipelines, subsea and processing equipment, Saipem said in a statement.
Work is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2017.
Saipem also won a contract by Protexa to install various offshore platforms in waters off Mexico, the statement said.
