BUENOS AIRES, Feb 4 (Reuters) - Consumer prices in Uruguay rose a quicker-than-expected 2.22 percent in January, leaving the year-on-year inflation rate at 8.02 percent, official data showed on Wednesday.
Analysts polled by Reuters had forecast a month-on-month rate of 1.92 percent in January, when Uruguay hiked electricity and water bills. (Reporting by Esteban Farat; Editing by Richard Lough)
