Uruguay's GDP growth slows to 3.5 percent in 2014 - central bank
MONTEVIDEO, March 26 (Reuters) - Economic growth in Uruguay slowed to 3.5 percent in 2014 from a revised 5.1 percent a year earlier, the central bank said on Thursday.
The South American country's gross domestic product grew 3.3 percent in the fourth quarter of 2014 compared with the same period a year earlier and 1.2 percent from the third quarter, the bank said.
The bank had previously said the economy of the cattle-ranching nation grew 4.4 percent in 2013. (Reporting by Malena Castaldi; Writing by Richard Lough)
