BOGOTA, March 28 (Reuters) - Colombia's Council of State, a top judicial authority, has suspended the sale of the government's stake in the Andean nation's third-biggest power generator, Isagen, over allegations the transaction is being carried out in violation of the constitution, the Council said on Friday.
Colombia has received seven offers from local and international companies to purchase a majority stake in the generator.
The government plans to use the funds it hopes to raise from the sale for investment in infrastructure. (Reporting by Carlos Vargas; Writing by Peter Murphy; Editing by Steve Orlofsky)
