RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept 2 (Reuters) - OAO Gazprom, the world's largest natural gas producer, is in talks with rivals to buy stakes in oil exploration areas in Brazil, a senior executive said on Tuesday.
The plans, which would be in the form of farm-ins, are preferentially for offshore blocks already under exploration in South America's biggest country, Shakarbek Osmonov, a senior executive with Gazprom's Brazil and Latin America operations, said at an event in Rio de Janeiro.
