SAO PAULO, Dec 30 (Reuters) - Brazil's state-run electricity holding company Eletrobras budgeted 14.1 billion reais ($5.3 billion) for investments in 2015, the same amount it budgeted for 2014, the company said on Tuesday.
Total investments in 2014 are expected to reach only 12 billion reais, however, according to an emailed statement.
The company, known formally as Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA, posted a third-quarter net loss of 2.7 billion reais, nearly three times the loss a year earlier, after being forced to purchase more expensive energy to resell.
