RIO DE JANEIRO, June 17 (Reuters) - Brazil’s state-run oil company Petroleo Brasileiro SA said on Wednesday that Antônio Rubens Silva Silvino has been appointed new chief executive officer of Transpetro, the company’s oil and gas transportation arm.
Silvino is currently an executive in the company’s refining division. He will replace Claudio Ribeiro Teixeira Campos, who had been running the business on a temporary basis.
Former Transpetro CEO Sérgio Machado stepped down earlier this year in the midst of a corruption scandal engulfing the oil company.
