(Adds additional information about TAG)
RIO DE JANEIRO, July 23 (Reuters) - The board of directors of Brazil's state-led oil company Petroleo Brasileiro SA plans to discuss the reorganization of Transportadora Associada de Gás (TAG) at a meeting Friday, board member Deyvid Bacelar said in a statement on Thursday.
The structure of the TAG pipeline unit of Petrobras, as the company is known, is being reviewed as the company seeks to sell $15.1 billion of assets by the end of 2016.
Earlier this month the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper reported that Petrobras was considering the sale of up to 80 percent of TAG.
Bacelar also said the board will discuss the renewal of the company's registration with the SEC in the United States, although he gave no details of what that review might entail.
Petrobras did not immediately respond to requests for comment. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commision (SEC) did not immediately respond to a request for comment and clarification of regulatory requirements.
