ASUNCION, Aug 4 (Reuters) - Consumer prices in Paraguay rose 0.8 percent in July, leaving the year-on-year rate at 3.6 percent, the central bank said on Tuesday.
The bank said increases in food prices and oil derivatives led the index higher in July, after it fell in June on a monthly basis.
In July, Paraguay cut its benchmark interest rate for a second straight month by 25 basis points to 5.75 percent to spur economic growth, and forecast a 4.5 percent rate of inflation for 2015 as a whole. (Reporting by Daniela Desantis; Writing by Richard Lough; Editing by Jonathan Oatis)
