LIMA, Aug 7 (Reuters) - Peru's central bank expects June's year-on-year economic growth rate to come in above 3 percent, up from May's 1.22 percent expansion, the state news agency Andina reported on Friday.
Strong mining activity and a rebound in manufacturing helped support faster growth in June, central bank president Julio Velarde said, according to Andina.
Official growth data for June is scheduled for release on August 14. (Reporting By Mitra Taj; Editing by Grant McCool)
