Brazil's Gouvea family says plans bid for Petrobras fuels unit
RIO DE JANEIRO Aug 3 (Reuters) - Brazil's Gouvea Vieira family plans to team up with a Brazilian investment fund to bid for control of the BR Distribuidora fuels distribution unit of state-led oil company Petroleo Brasileiro SA, the family's most prominent member said on Wednesday.
Eduardo Eugenio Gouvea Vieira, who is president of Firjan, the Rio de Janeiro-state Federation of Industry, told reporters his family, which sold its own fuels distribution business to Petrobras more than a decade ago, informed Petrobras of their interest bidding for BR in late July.
