Brazil's Fibria profit drops 21 pct from year earlier
SAO PAULO, April 24 (Reuters) - Brazil's Fibria Celulose SA , the world's largest producer of eucalyptus pulp, reported on Thursday a first-quarter profit of 19 million reais ($8.5 million), down 21 percent from a year earlier.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, a gauge of operating profit known as EBITDA, rose 21 percent to 665 million reais, below an average estimate of 688 million reais in a Reuters poll.
