Shares of Brazil miner Vale drop after Q1 results
RIO DE JANEIRO, April 30 (Reuters) - Shares of Brazilian miner Vale SA fell over 3 percent on Wednesday after the world's largest iron ore producer posted a 19 percent drop in its first-quarter earnings.
Vale's preferred shares last traded at 26.00 reais, 2.7 percent down from Tuesday's close, contributing the most to a 0.6 percent decline in the Bovespa index. They dropped to as much as 25.71 reais earlier.
