Colombia official says 2013 GDP could be higher than official figure
MEDELLIN, Colombia May 8 (Reuters) - Colombia's economic growth in 2013 may have exceeded the official 4.3 percent figure and it is possible the national statistics agency will eventually revise it, a member of the central bank's monetary policy board said on Thursday.
Juan Pablo Zarate said he also expected growth in 2014 to be faster than the estimate of the central bank's technical team, of 4.3 percent, without giving an alternative estimate. (Reporting by Nelson Bocanegra and Carlos Vargas; Writing by Peter Murphy; Editing by Diane Craft)
