BOGOTA, Aug 22 (Reuters) - Colombia's crude oil production
averaged 968,000 barrels per day in July, down 4.16 percent
compared with the previous month and 5.3 percent lower than the
same period in 2013, the Energy Ministry said on Friday.
Output was affected by rebel attacks on pipelines, repairs
and maintenance to some oil wells and electricity cuts, the
statement said. The July figure takes average daily output this
year to 979,000 barrels per day.
Colombia's gas production in July totaled 1.072 billion
cubic feet per day, the ministry data showed, a 3.27 percent
decrease over last month and down 10.1 percent compared with the
same period last year.
