America Movil shares rise over 5 pct after asset sale announcement
MEXICO CITY, July 9 (Reuters) - Shares of America Movil rose sharply on Wednesday after the company announced it would sell assets to avoid the brunt of tough new regulations aimed at taming big players in Mexico's telecommunications sector.
The stock of the company controlled by billionaire Carlos Slim rose 5.05 percent in early trading to 14.15 pesos per share. (Reporting By Alexandra Alper and Noe Torres)
