MEXICO CITY, July 18 (Reuters) - Shares in Mexico's Cemex briefly fell more than 2 pct in morning trading after the company's second-quarter results showed a worse-than expected core profit, hurt by weak sales in Mexico.
Cemex reported earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of $737 million, up from $730 million in the year earlier period, but below analysts' estimates of $768 million.
The shares later pared the losses. (Reporting by Elinor Comlay)
