BOGOTA, July 28 (Reuters) - Colombia’s 2015 budget is expected to be around 220 trillion pesos ($118.93 billion), Finance Minister Mauricio Cardenas said on Monday, an increase of around 8.5 percent over this year.
The figure confirms the one reported by Reuters on July 11, citing sources in the government and Congress.
“We’ll be at around 220 trillion pesos but the final figure will depend on adjustments we make today,” Cardenas said on television, referring to final tweaks to a draft budget bill that will be completed on Monday.
The budget must be approved by Congress before the end of October.
