(Adds details on revenue)
MEXICO CITY, July 28 (Reuters) - Mexican construction company ICA said on Monday it lost 149.13 million pesos ($11.5 million) in the second-quarter of 2014, a narrower loss than it posted a year earlier, due in part to higher revenue.
ICA’s losses for the quarter were down 70 percent from the 500.9 million pesos the company lost in the second quarter of 2013.
The company reported second-quarter revenue of 9.06 billion pesos ($698 million), up 15.6 percent compared to the same period last year, driven in part by the acquisition of U.S. firm Facchina Construction Group, ICA said in a filing with the Mexican stock exchange.
Meanwhile, revenue from ICA’s construction unit was up 22 percent to 6.7 billion pesos, while revenue from its airports unit was up 7 percent.
