HOUSTON, Aug 13 (Reuters) - Colombia's state-run Ecopetrol and its Cartagena refinery have launched a tender to buy a 290,000-300,000 barrel cargo of gasoline RON 92 to be received at Mamonal port on September 1 to 3, according to a document seen by Reuters on Wednesday.
The oil company has been buying more finished fuels this year while the 80,000 barrel per day (bpd) refinery is halted for an expansion project that will be finished in the second quarter of 2015.
The firm will receive offers until August 21 and they must refer to unleaded gasoline 87 prices from the U.S. Gulf Coast.
Previously this month, Ecopetrol offered to buy up to 28 cargoes of ultra low-sulfur diesel (ULSD) to be received from September to March. (Reporting by Marianna Parraga; Editing by Anna Driver)
