Brazil's state-led electricity holding company Eletrobras faces "real chances" of forgoing a dividend to shareholders this year, Chief Financial Officer Armando Casado told analysts on a Monday earnings call.
The company, known formally as Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras SA, posted a third-quarter net loss of 2.7 billion reais ($1 billion) on Friday, nearly three times the loss a year earlier.
Shares of Eletrobras fell 9 percent on Monday to close at 7.30 reais, their lowest level in more than 15 months. (Editing by Richard Chang)
