Brazil's Cyrela posts lower sales in 2nd qtr as launches increase
SAO PAULO, July 15 (Reuters) - Brazilian homebuilder Cyrela Brazil Realty SA said on Wednesday that sales of new homes fell 35 percent to 814 million reais ($259.2 million) in the second quarter from a year ago.
The builder launched 1.07 billion reais worth of new projects in the second quarter, up 20 percent from the same period a year earlier.
