SAO PAULO, Sept 28 (Reuters) - A planned sale of the controlling stake that the Brazilian state of São Paulo has in power generation company Cesp Cia Energética de São Paulo SA is likely to happen at some point next year, a senior state official said on Wednesday.
Speaking to reporters at an event, São Paulo's energy and mining secretary, João Carlos Meirelles, said the state will hire two advisory firms to help structure the sale, adding that any transaction will take place "if the state is convinced that a sale is feasible and there are interested buyers."
