Oil production in Brazil reached 2.3 million barrels per day in July, a new record for the country as production continues to ramp up with new fields coming on stream, the national regulator ANP said on Tuesday.
The figure was 14.8 percent higher than the same month last year and 1 percent higher than June.
Oil and gas production hit 2.8 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in July, just ahead of the month before.
Production in the sub-salt oil region fell 0.1 percent compared to June. (Editing by Diane Craft)
