MILAN, March 18 (Reuters) - European shares were expected to open slightly higher on Friday following gains in Asia and Wall Street overnight.

Futures on the Euro STOXX 50, Germany's DAX, France's CAC and Britain's FTSE were all up by between 0.2-0.6 percent.

Asian shares edged higher on Friday, oil touched a 2016 high and the U.S. dollar weakened as investors turned more positive on riskier assets after the Federal Reserve's cautious stance on further interest rate increases.

On Thursday, European equities ended lower after a choppy session, dragged down by exporters as the euro strengthened against the dollar.
