MILAN, Jan 26 (Reuters) - Italian utility Enel has approved the issue of bonds worth up to 1 billion euros ($1.1 billion) that will be offered in exchange for existing bonds, the company said on Monday.
In a statement, Enel also said it had named Luca D'Agnese as head of its Latin American business following the resignation of Luigi Ferraris. D'Agnese leaves his position as head of the group's Eastern European operations to Roberto Deambrogio.
The bond issues approved on Monday have to be carried out by the end of December. ($1 = 0.8868 euros) (Reporting by Danilo Masoni, editing by Isla Binnie)
