BRIEF-Poland's KGHM says 2015 net result shielded by weaker zloty vs dollar

RZESZOW, Poland, Oct 15 (Reuters) - KGHM Polska Miedz SA

* The chief executive of Europe's No.2 copper producer, Poland's KGHM, said on Thursday that the firm will fulfill its 2015 budgetary plans thanks to a weakening of the zloty versus the U.S. dollar.

* CEO Herbert Wirth told Reuters that KGHM had assumed average 2015 copper price at about $5,800 per tonne and the USD/PLN exchange rate at 3.30, while the price will likely reach about $5,200 and the exchange rate will stand at 3.70.

* In August, the company's CFO Jaroslaw Romanowski said KGHM's 2015 stand-alone net profit would likely be comparable to 2014 when it stood at 2.41 billion zlotys ($649.2 million). Further company coverage: ($1 = 3.7123 zlotys) (Reporting by Wojciech Zurawski; Writing by Marcin Goettig)
