Gerdau gets $1.02 bln in bids to swap 2017, 2020 bonds for new debt
SAO PAULO May 9 (Reuters) - Gerdau SA, the largest steelmaker in the Americas, received $1.02 billion in combined offers to swap bonds due in 2017 and 2020 for new debt due in 2024, according to a statement on Friday.
Gerdau and its subsidiaries will issue nearly $1.17 billion in new debt as part of the swap program, the statement added. (Reporting by Guillermo Parra-Bernal; Editing by Jeffrey Benkoe)
