Petrobras says 24-hour strike not responsible for platform shutdown
RIO DE JANEIRO, July 24 (Reuters) - Brazil's state-led oil company Petroleo Brasileiro SA said on Friday that a 24-hour strike by unionized platform workers was not responsible for the shutdown of its P-15 offshore platform, contradicting union statements.
The platform was shut on July 20 to adjust its gas compression system's turbo and motor compressors, work that is expected to be completed on Aug. 6, Petrobras, as the oil company is known, said in a statement. (Reporting by Jeb Blount and Marta Nogueira; Editing by Bernard Orr)
